On Wednesday, my sister and I finally got to see the last Harry Potter movie. It was awesome and we enjoyed it a lot!
After the movie, we got to talk about everyone's Patronus and how we both took the Patronus quiz on facebook; I got a cat and my sister a dog. Then we asked "If Draco had a Patronus, what would it be?" We still hadn't come up with an answer, but we both thought that it'd be really funny if it was something adorable...like a rabbit!
So that's where this doodle came from...

I absolutely LOVE Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza~ I'm a big fan of improv because I myself am not awesome enough to do it lol! My sister has been going to an improv club at the high school and another show's about to happen on Friday and I'm excited to see it.
One thing I love about the show is during some games especially Freeze or Options, the cast does such great poses~ I think the next time I do more quick studies, I'll actually try and draw them as the characters they're trying to be.

I went to the Zoo today with my friend. There was a lot of people since it was Memorial Day, but it was still a lot of fun. What I love about the zoo is that kids love to see your drawings and you always get the nicest compliments from them. Even though they're just kids, they tell the truth and it makes me feel more confident in my drawing hearing them say how awesome your art is. One kid saw my drawing of the snakes and as they walked away with their parents, I heard the kid say "Can I do that when I get older?"
Confidence just went up....

079. What A Day

I started with the day off waking kind of late. But I got to working on my resume right away and finished my demo reel; which if you haven't noticed already I have created tabs for!
I'm proud to say that I got everything important done and now it's just being patient and burning my reel to DVDs!
I was frustrated to fun that my town lacked in selling empty DVD cases. I'm hoping it's because everyone's making a reel too and bought them all...but I managed to find some and I got to get a new sketchbook!! YAY!!

As soon as I got home from a DVD case run with my sister, I found my package of a new album from Japan was sitting in the mail waiting for me. For those who don't know, I always have a fight with the plastic wrapping of new CD albums.

Not only the plastic wrap, but apparently the plastic container of DVDs/CDs and I fight as well...

My sister opened it for me at the end...show off...
My mom found a pair of black pants that she said was a little too loose on her and gave it to me to try on. My Mother's tiny and I haven't been able to wear anything of hers since I was in middle school. I took the pants anyway and attempted to try them on...knowing that I'm mostly likely too fat.

But HUZZAH!!! They fit me perfectly!!
Happy day is happy~ =]

BTW here's my Toothless plushie update! I think he's coming a long nicely if you as me~ =]

I did an art for a friend and I hope he liked it because I don't remember if he told me otherwise lol! Anyway, remember "friends give each other hair-staches!" It's more fun that way...

Aside from drawing, I found out my something that puts me in zen mode; sewing. It's kind of interesting because I never liked or knew how. I had lessons back when I was in high school at my Chinese school, but of course I forget what I learned lol!! But I found a pattern for making my very own Toothless plush. I began it last night and I finished the head.

Have you guys seen this one anime called 'Durarara!!'? It's like awesome in a crazy way! haha! My sister and I watched a few episodes...but there is this one character that I absolutely love; it's Ceity Sturluson. She's like the headless horseman, but female with an awesome helmet and an awesome bike! She's on a mission to find her head and talks through text messages and msn kind of thing. I don't care too much for the other characters *yet* but Ceity is my favorite!
Also I was in a BIG mood to draw a lady with a helmet, she was the first thing that popped into mind.

I know a lot of girls that would take their guys shopping and most of the time the guys wouldn't have such an awesome time as they'd hoped. So this idea actually came to me when I was at WonderCon on Sunday. While my friend and I were taking a breather and watching everyone leave when WonderCon was closed, I saw one of the guys that brought his R2D2. He apparently had forgotten something in the mens restroom and was lugging his R2 into the restroom. I thought it would have been funny if a R2D2 were to suddenly roll into the restroom.
I managed to take a picture of it on instagram here.

I guess at WonderCon it wouldn't be such a big deal. But other than at a convention, how would you guys react?

So WonderCon has been going on this weekend since April fools day on Friday and so far it has been absolutely AMAZING! Tiring, but amazing! My great friend Heather and I have got to see our friends at the booths or friends enjoying their time at WonderCon and we even made new friends as well. We got to see a lot of awesome panels like Falling Skies, Nakita, and Green Lantern on Friday. Cowboys and Aliens, The Three Musketeers, Hanna, Priest and Immortals today on Saturday. All of which I really want to watch! It was very exciting.
Yesterday though, we got to our amazing friend, Liana Hee's booth. Eventually we got to talking about Wonder Woman and about her new outfit. Heather, Liana and I all agreed that the new outfit was terrible and how sexy the original Wonder Woman is.
I don't know if you've all seen the new outfit, but it looks like a very bad cosplay and not so much sexy as Wonder Woman should be. The pictures that were shared, she looks very unattractive and I first thought she was a man dressed as a woman.
Because of that conversation, I doodled a sketch...

070. I AM HOTTEST Japan Relief Auction

Japan's horrible experience of the earthquake and tsunami this year really shook me up. A few years back I was really lucky to have avoided a tsunami when I visited Hong Kong, China.
I've donated what little money I could, but honestly that wasn't enough for me. I came across Artists Help Japan on blogspot. It made me realize that I could use art to help out...some how. I brought an idea to my awesome friends over at USAIAMHOTTEST. So I am pleased to say that one of my art works will be featured in an auction that will be held on April 1 - April 9. The proceeds will be going to charity to help Japan rebuild.

With the rain and watching Hercules, some bad memories come to mind. People always say "just forget about it." but you know, it's really hard to forget about something like that so easily. My friend and I went to the Academy of Science. We had a lot of fun~
I finally got to go into the Planetarium and the clear, hot sphere with the Rain Forest in it! Honestly, I have a huge fear of butterflies flying at me....so I had a lot of courage going in that sphere. It's stupid, but I'm not kidding you. When I was little, I left an empty bottle of bubbles outside. The next morning I went out and use that bottle as a telescope, I don't know why, but I did...and there was a butterfly in there. I didn't know and brought it to my eye and the butterfly flew at me! SCARED FOR LIFE I tell you! Thought I'd share...

Whenever I see people posting drawings of the "stuffed" animals at the museum, I get all excited because I know where it is lol! /random
I'm very proud of my octopus! I drew it in the dark! I had no idea what it looked like until I got out of that area lol! There was this one lady that was like "Oh wow! That looks beautiful!" I was like "Thank you! :)" and thought you have better eye sight than me...or she's just being nice & it really looked like crap. The octopus was really cute and was playing peak-a-boo with us. at one point all you could see was the eyes!

So friends, who are reading this, you know that I'm afraid of butterflies flying at me... what is/are your biggest fear(s)?

065. Cover Up Girl

Whenever I shower, I usually forget something; a towel, underwear, pants, shirt, etc. But it's always something. So I have to run out and grab it real quick. Of course it never occurs to me that I should ask my sister or someone to grab it for me. Then again, chances are they'll probably grab the wrong thing.
So I felt like taking that concept and then draw a naked girl hiding behind an animation disc. I like drawing girls lol! It's fun~

This is a request that I did for a friend. It's a quick doodle....But it's based off of one of Ellen's Page's twitter post (&credit to whoever on tumblr posted that screen cap). I found it quite amusing actually.

I have been listening, reading, watching news about Japan the whole day today. I couldn't concentrate on my work that I should be doing.

Clips of the earthquake and the Tsunami hitting Japan seriously got to me. A few years back, my family and I visited Hong Kong, China for Christmas. The day we left, Tsunami hit. It still scares me because I was almost a victim of it.
I pray for everyone effected.

This was actually supposed to be Japan from Hetalia...but I don't draw anime...

Yesterday was the last episode of Dream High. I haven't watched it yet, but I've seen people post pictures on facebook and tumblr. The one image stood out the most was Sam Dong leaning out of the window of the bus kissing Hye Mi. Well, if you haven't noticed, Jason and Pilsuk is my favorite pairing in the series, so I took Sam Dong & Hye Mi's pose and changed it to Jason & Pilsuk. They had a kiss scene in the previous episode, but we don't actually see it...

Well after a day of animating and clean up, I'm exhausted and tired. A bit sleepy as well, but can't fall asleep. I think it's one of those nights? The weather's been cold and sometimes gloomy. I'm waiting for it to be happier; a little more sun and less cloudy/rainy. On top of all that, I don't feel like doing anything! Speaking of which, I saw this childrens book at Borders called "Let's Do Nothing" by Tony Fucile and I absolutely love it!

Anyway, I do that pose all the time at home. Suzy and IU did the same pose in Dream High, so I referenced them along with myself.

057. Long Time No See

I'm very inspired by this Korean drama, Dream High. My favorite character is still Kim Pilsuk. IU plays the role really well.
Pilsuk at the beginning is the overweight girl that to almost everyone's point of view won't debut as a singer even though she has the most gorgeous voice. Of course she crushes on one of the most talented and popular guys in school, Jason. Pilsuk finally admits that she likes him, Jason rejects her but not because of her appearance. Pilsuk gave him 200 days to change his mind and in 200 days Pilsuk lost 30 kg (66 lbs).
Their first greet after 200 days was very cute~

I realize I have trouble with eyes...they never look like they're supposed to be looking at what they should be looking at...if that makes any sense lol!

I've always loved to bake, probably blame the Disney princesses for baking yummy stuff. Majority of them knows how to cook and that I've always believed is a plus for their prince charming. After all like what Princess Tiana said "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach," so it must be true right? Anyway, not a lot of people in my family like sweet stuff even if I try my best to cut down on the sugar. And I personally hate seeing food go to waste.
Then I realized that I just need to find someone to bake for...

It's not just baking, I enjoy cooking too. Now all I need to find someone to bake for...hmmm....

054. TAPE

So I got my Mountain Rose Herbs products in the mail today, which I'm excited to try out later tonight. Easy task was to open the package and be proud of the stuff you bought right? Well there was one thing in my way, the stupid tape! The bottles were wrapped nicely in bubble wrap so that the bottles won't break and what not, but the bubble wrap was wrapped in tape! It took me almost 40 minutes (or more) just to get the last piece of tape off!
Ugh! I felt like a little kid too XD

And yes. I do make the "fish-lips" face when I get upset >:(

I've been watching the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet. It's one of my most favorite movies. Olivia Hussey is so gorgeous and Leonard Whiting is so handsome and the two of them make such a gorgeous couple! I remember watching this movie when I was really young and honestly I had no idea what they were talking about with all the "art"s and the "thou"s...but I remember it being really beautiful.

Last night before I went to bed, I was drawn into this new Korean drama called Dream High. 2PM's Wooyoung and Taecyeon are in it. Originally I wasn't planning on watching it (maybe ever), but I was curious as to how Wooyoung's first drama would go. Turns out I fell in love with it. Miss A's Suzy and T-ara's Ham Eun Jung are in it. Not to mention IU! I love that girl!
IU's character, Kim Pilsuk is the "fat girl" in the drama and has a major crush on Wooyoung's character, Jason. Who can blame her though? Jason is absolutely a sweet heart. While waiting in line for their uniforms, one of the other students was making fun of Pilsuk's skirt for her size calling it a quilt/blanket. Ashamed and afraid that her name will be said, Jason grabbed it and claimed the skirt was his. "What's mine is mine. Do you have a problem with that?"

There's a Japanese movie that came out not too long ago that I really want to see. Staring Kenichi Matsuyama that I'm a big fan of! He was L in the live action Death Note; all three movies. But this new movie's calledノルウェーの森 (Norwegian Wood).
Though as far as I know, I can't get a hold of it until later :(
But I did find an image of it that I really like...so here's my interpretation of it!

I guess this is what happens when I can't sleep and watching Disney Movies in alphabetical order (on Peter Pan).

I did a drawing for my mom a while ago when she wasn't feeling well. Today I thought that I'd do a drawing for my dad.
During my winter break, my mom's friend came to visit. She was telling my mom about a movie called "Everyone's Fine." What really got me was when my mom's friend told me the summary about the movie; everyone's not fine.
I haven't seen the movie yet but I do intend to watch it and probably watch it with my family when we get our hands on a copy; which my friend told me wasn't easy to find in stores apparently?

I'm always daddy's little girl. No matter how old I get, that's just how it's going to be.

040. I Give My First Love to You

I seriously have been watching too much romantic movies. This one's based off of the movie I Give My First Love To You. It's very cute and sweet and sad.

I realize that a lot of the Asian romance films are always sad and tragic. I always wonder what started that...it's always the girl or the guy has some kind of terrible illness that apparently is rare or something that can't be cured. Then sometimes one or the other can't feel love's emotion or that will progress the illness. Oh well, either way they still get a few tear shed or watery eyes from me! haha!

I think I've been watching a bit TOO much Asian romance movies! lol! Well a while ago I finally got a copy of My Rainy Days. I just rewatched it today (along with 200 Pound Beauty and waiting for Heavenly Forest) and my favorite part is Rio in the library with Kouki. She was asking him if he was happy with her and didn't respond. Out of no where while Kouki was looking for another book, Rio just yells out in the library and Kouki quickly runs over to cover her mouth. Next thing you know it, she has a little paper taped above her upper lip saying "Baka"; Japanese (Katakana instead of Hiragana) for "Idiot".

Well if you yell in the library, I suppose this is what will happen...but if you're lucky, the one you love will probably surprise you with a kiss when you start to behave~ =]

038. Surprise Kiss

I was pretty much image searching on google and randomly came up with an image of my favorite couple: Jokwon of 2AM and Gain of Brown Eyed Girls. Both of them are on that We Got Married show (like the one of Nichkhun and Victoria that I drew a while back) and apparently Jokwon did a very sweet thing for his "wife" for Christmas. He pretty much of the ice skating rink for the two of them and sang to Gain where at the end she started to cry. Gain sang a song back to Jokwon and Jokwon later asks for a kiss on the cheek. Gain leans in to kiss him and Jokwon at the last minute turns his head and they kiss on the lips. Of course Gain gets mad and smacks Jokwon in the chest but you can tell she was okay with it lol! Well my friend saw it and I thought I'd do a drawing based off of that. But my friend insisted that I do a version of Tangled (Flynn & Rapunzel). And I went and gave it a go.
I still used Rapunzel's hair as a scarf for the both of them...it's cuter that way I thought lol!

So yeah...that's my drawing of the day for yesterday =]

037. Hypnotic

I had to post this.
I actually got this done yesterday and this morning...well the drawing/sketching part of it I finished yesterday. But because my main new year's resolution is to do a drawing a day, this is my first drawing of the New Year! I was kind of hesitant at first since I'm not too sure if I'm allowed to post this yet >.o
But I got a request a few weeks back from Monica. She wanted me to design a logo for the girls on HypnoticAsia. But because it was so close to the holidays, it took me a while to get it finished :(
So here's the line work. I'll post the colored version later when they've finally got it up. But I hope you ladies like it~ =] <3>

The style was inspired with a bit of Bill Presing and SNSD with a bit of my twist I suppose haha!

I'm working on another one for today/tomorrow. Today's was kind of mainly the colored version of this.

I hope you all had a happy new year! I hope 2011 will be just as awesome or at least far awesomer than 2010~ <3

So the end of the semester is drawing near!
For my Digital Graphics class, our final assignment is to do a cover page for our portfolio. It has to be a picture of ourselves and we must use our artistic license to create something. This is pretty much what I came up with. I wanted to make my cover page as something our of the magazine, I used 2PM's Japanese magazine along with other magazines as references.

It's like a complete opposite from my last entry...lol!
I was looking through one of David Colman's doodle books and came across a sketch he did of a girl and I just LOVE that sketch. I think I made her more sad and with a little bit of my style to it. I also used one of Ms. Hyori's images as reference.

I couldn't leave it at such a sad picture, here's to make up for it haha! A kiss from Nichkhun would be marvelous~

So I finally went out this morning with my sister to watch Tangled! It was such an amazing movie! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it over & over & over...
Since Rapunzel has so much hair, it reminded me of when I used to have my hair at a very long length. Granted that my hair wasn't as long as Rapunzel's, I was still able to do one thing...use it as a scarf! But with Rapunzel's length and this very cold weather we're having lately, it's very cute and romantic to share the 'hairy' scarf!

I hope you all go and watch the movie if you haven't already. And if you already did...well...go watch it again!! =]

022. Mom

Yesterday I got home from CTN. The first thing I did after bringing my bags out from the car was hug my mom. I don't want to get into too much detail, but she's not feeling too well.
I talked to her about how CTN was very inspirational and how I met a lot of amazing artist. My mom simply smiled as she listened; which often times never happened because we would interrupt each other. I don't think I've ever given my mom so many hugs all in one day, but yesterday was special. It probably made up for missing her early this morning.

Anyway, this entry is for my mom! Love you mom!

I came across Claudio Acciari's blog and I absolutely fell in love with her blog!
I love her studies and quick doodles. But I came across something interesting. I love that she found youtube videos or just videos in general and doodled them. I thought that it was a clever idea and gave it a go myself. I gave myself no more than a minute on each board.

on Saturday (October 30), I was able to meet up with some friends and we went to Best Buy where Far East Movement was having a fan meet and greet. It was fantastic! FM was oh so nice. I was able to get a hug from Kevnish and the girls and I were able to take a picture with Proh~ ugh! It was amazing!
Jocelin and Jessica got pretty awesome pictures and I snagged a Kevnish image from Jocelin and decided to copy it in illustrator!

Poor Kevnish was sick and didn't really have his voice.
Anyways, I'm off to bed now~ =]

over the summer my Insan J Crew part took in a 2PM project by USAIAMHOTTEST; GivingBack2U. where International Hottests went around doing good deeds and gave back. well we Insan J Crew were apart of Relay For Life where we walked for cancer. it was a lot of fun and a great learning experience!
originally when i signed up for the project, i figured i would only give back maybe 5 hours tops of my time. but at the end of it all, each of us (there are 4) ended up giving 25+ hours EACH of our time to the project. that's like over 100 hours! we are awesome!
at the end of it all they made a video for 2PM and are making an online photobook for 2PM.

A lot of my friends have been doodling their version of Toothless from the movie How To Train Your Dragon. Sadly, I couldn't ignore it and made my version too.
A few days back when a friend of mine came to visit for WonderCon, we visited another friend of mine who has a dog. The dog reacted to my friend's cellphone and thus it gave me my inspiration for Toothless. What if Toothless heard a vibrating cellphone? I'm sure he'd probably eat it or something lol!!

i animated and colored this in photoshop while watching "10 Out Of 10" for God knows how long and i made up my last pose for Jaebeom which turned out pretty awesome :D
